NHS historical data is one of the most valuable UK assets and should NEVER be put into the hands of any non-UK company. It’s our data and should be only available for UK researchers and UK pharmaceutical developers.
This is another important piece. Such fantastic work you three have done. WE don't forget that Tony Blair was WD Bush's poodle and the horror and shock waves that led to. The man is afflicted with cringeworthy conceit, even if he is, in name, there for the working classes. The downsides of AI have to be addressed before even more of the working population become consigned to mind numbing, de-skilled jobs, or worse, hopeless prospects for employment. And then to be in bed with Larry Ellison. Shareholders and billionaires rule.... 🤪
Is this going out to the decent newspapers? NYT, the Atlantic, Bloomberg, etc etc. 💪💪💪💪
Thanks for sterling reporting on yet another criminal collusion between nation state politics and corporate wealth. The Tony Blair Institute: Never Knowingly Oversold.
Blair shafted the NHS with PFI, Starmer is following his orders. Larry Ellison has donated $millions to the IDF and genocide in Gaza, and we have Thiel (another Zionist apologist)and Palantir already with a foot in the door of the NHS, we can develop our own solutions to what they are offering, they need to fuck off now !!
On a different but not unrelated subject: does anyone know what happened to Blair’s proffered solution to the world’s energy crisis ? His government’s enthusiastic public investment into The Hadron Collider ?
I am not sure why anyone would trust his judgement on things scientific after that expensive Walter Mitty adventure.
There has been a lot of water under the bridge since Fei-Fei Li’s assertion that ‘big data would fundamentally change the way we do AI’. The genie is out of the bottle and the NHS has very big very valuable data. Who gets the vendor lock-in prize Oracle/Ellison/Blair, Palantir/Theil/Mandelson?
Which current parliamentarians will be first through the revolving doors once they leave office? Maybe the bookmakers are taking bets.
This is the most terrifying article that I have read about AI. The brazen attempt by an American billionaire to grab the entire NHS data set should be on the front page of every UK newspaper, and publicised across all social media. The even more alarming idea that all DWP data might be merged into this unified data set represents an invasion of privacy that is almost beyond imagination. As a retired doctor, the importance of patient confidentiality was emphasised from the first day at medical school. This concept will no longer exist if Oracle/ TBI plans go ahead. I have no confidence whatsoever in the reassurances about anonymity.
Please try and publicise this article more widely.

Excellent work! These sorts of investigations are important in the current British media landscape.
Thanks Sami!
