KPMG is being paid £8 million to promote Peter Thiel’s tech in NHS hospitals – but we’re being forced to fight for information about this public contract.
They are giving our money to pay KPMG consultants to use Chat GPT to tell a Cambridge Analytica wannabe to how to make money out of us. Vulture Capitalism or what. 🤡
I'm merely a citizen of this country but even though I'm not a politician or anybody else that's considered to be influential, this stinks to high heaven. Peter Thiel is toxic. Anybody remotely involved with him at anytime cannot be trusted.
The two lords of the Manor Peter Mandelson and Kier Starmer are selling us out to the highest bidder. This is the Labour Party behaving like the Republican Party in the States.
The delay over your request for information and the tactics they are using to hide what they're doing from the public is right out of trumps playbook. The consultant firm, like you say wouldn't be necessary if this was a good honest thing that they are considering.
If the people already using Palantir's system in the hospital find it not suitable to the purpose then get rid of it and ask for your money back!
Also don't even think of allowing that crowd to infiltrate are military!
People like Streeting and Doherty are behaving like lobbyists and their paycheques rely on selling Palantir's product.
Thank you Lucas and Amin for reporting this before it's a "done deal." The "Labour Party" so-called has to go!
Keep on trying - and hopefully succeeding- in making public money arrangements public knowledge. The UK is not alone, in Australia, which has multiple sovereign governments, there is a “branding” referred to as “commercial-in-confidence” which shields private companies with contractual arrangements with Government from public disclosure in the form of Freedom of Information. Colloquially known as Freedom from Information. Julia B, Sydney
This is all tied into Starmer's US trade deal "negotiations". They will keep on stonewalling at least until that deal and whatever hell it lets loose is signed and irreversible because of ISDS threats and a non-existent special relationship.
The only thing likely to stop Palantir is a change of PM and Cabinet and, whilst we may get a functionally meaningless reshuffle in the reasonably near future, one might be a little optimistic to imagine that Starmer will be replaced - he's too important to BlackRock, Palantir and the TechBros for them to let him get pushed out - there's an upcoming Freeport/SEZ empire hanging off him staying in post.
Please, please keep up the pressure. I have no trust in this company.
